Of course aiding in rehab and recovery are the areas in which these EMS devices will truly excel but make no mistake: they're a valuable performance aid as well, as study after study has shown. EMS is even capable of (limited) muscle-building, and certainly muscle retention if you're away from the gym thanks to injuries (like I am).
The program set of the 2.0 is rich, covering Warm-Up to Recovery and everything in between. It would have been ideal to have the Hypertrophy program included, as in the higher models, but the Muscle-Building one which is included is doing the trick
All in all I'm very happy with the purchase and it's delightful to be able to do some kind - ANY kind - of training while rehabbing all this goddamn tendonosis (I highly recommend this device for anyone struggling with connective tissue problems as it puts very little stress on the joints while delivering a real wham-bam to the musculature).
Who knows? Combing some hardcore EMS training with some extreme carb-backloading, I might even see some minor gainz. :)
